The ETH Chair of Geotechnical Engineering will host the 11th ICPMG conference in 2026

The ETH Chair of Geotechnical Engineering of ETH Zürich proudly announces that the 11th International Conference on Physical Modelling in Geotechnics (ICPMG) will be hosted in Zurich, Switzerland in 2026. Following the successful precedents from the first one “Centrifuge 88” in Paris, France to the last “ICPMG 2022” in Daejeon, South Korea, the “ICPMG 2026” will bring together world-class academics and experts in the field of Physical Modelling in Geotechnics. The ICPMG conference is held under the auspices of Technical Committee 104 (TC104: Physical Modelling in Geotechnics) of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and Prof. Ioannis Anastasopoulos was elected as the new Chair of TC104.
