Cameras

With a maximum frame rate of 200’000 FPS (at reduced resolution) and maximum resolution of 2.9 MP (1696 x 1710 pixels), the Mikrotron MotionBLITZ EoSens Cube7 high-speed camera allows recording (videos and images) under dynamic conditions, allowing observation and capturing of failure mechanisms (e.g., liquefaction-induced failure, dynamic slope failure, foundation erosion) and the measurement of displacements and strains within the soil and the structure employing Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).

The 1.3 Megapixel (1280 x 1024 pixels) uEye Gigabit Ethernet UI-6240 C photogrammetry cameras allow recording at a slower rate (15 FPS), being appropriate for monitoring and recording of quasi-static tests (e.g., monotonic and slow-cyclic loading of foundations). The recorded high precision images are used for measurement of displacements and strains within the soil and the structure employing Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).
